Looking to expand your tea knowledge? There’s no better place to do so than at the Toronto Tea Festival!
Whether you’re a tea aficionado, a newbie, or somewhere in between, the annual festival enables visitors to discover the world of tea from the traditional to the trendy. Sample hundreds of teas prepared by exhibitors, learn from experts in the industry, stock up on teas and teawares from over 40 vendors, and enter a raffle for a chance to win some prizes.
Presentations throughout the weekend include Tea 101, The Mystic Side of Tea, Botany of the Tea Plant, Chinese and Japanese tea ceremonies, and a kombucha demonstration. The Tea Guild of Canada will also be hosted an intimate, two-hour tasting with tea sommeliers where you’ll taste the finer points of teas from each of five major categories (separate ticket required).
Toronto Tea Festival is happening this Saturday and Sunday, February 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second floor of the Toronto Reference Library (789 Yonge St.). Single day tickets are $16 per person and include a swag bag with a program book, glass tasting cup, and more.
