TIFF is back this week, and so is Festival Street!
For the sixth year, the Toronto International Film Festival will be shutting down King Street between Peter and University for a massive block party complete with activations, screenings, patios, food trucks, and live musical acts, including singer Lily Donat and songwriter-producer Alex Hope performing original songs and music from Unjoo Moon’s film I Am Woman, screening at this year’s festival.
The OLG Dream Deck, located on the rooftop of TIFF Bell Lightbox (350 King St. W.), will host a series of intimate discussions with filmmakers and creators like actress/director Amy Jo Johnson, actor/producer Gael García Bernal, and Endings, Beginnings director Drake Doremus and star Shailene Woodley. You can also catch an appearance by Canadian actress Ellen Page at the 10th anniversary screening of her film Whip It on Friday night.
Festival Street runs September 5-8 and is open daily from noon to midnight. Admission is free.
