If you love mac ‘n cheese (and let’s be real, who doesn’t?), Liberty Village is where you need to be this weekend.
Taking place June 5-7, Toronto’s first-ever Mac ‘n Cheese Festival features over 20 chefs, cooks, and food entrepreneurs providing their own twists on the classic childhood dish. Cheesewerks, Cardinal Rule, Local Public Eatery, Junked Food Co., and Thompson Diner are just some of the participants competing for “Best of Fest,” “Most Unique,” and the ultimate prize, “People’s Choice.”
The three-day festival also features live bands, DJs, street performers, and a beer garden with Shock Top, Goose Island, Mill Street, and more on tap. Admission is free, with proceeds supporting FoodShare Toronto, a non-profit organization that delivers healthy food to schools and low-income communities.
Mac ‘n Cheese Festival takes place at Liberty Market (171 East Liberty St.) and runs 6-10 p.m. on Friday, 11-11 p.m. on Saturday, and 12-4 p.m. on Sunday.
