Trinity Bellwoods is THE place to be this weekend. Why? Because your friends at Humble Empire and Young Lions Music Club are filling the park with the sounds of sweet, sweet music.
For the uninitiated, Great Heart Festival is a free daytime music series taking place this Friday through Sunday in the heart of Trinity Bellwoods (at the north end of the dog bowl). It features emerging talent from Toronto playing chill afternoon tunes under the trees. This year’s festival will also feature power (mics for vocals and other basic amplification), but vows to keep the same mellow vibes as years past.
Sets run from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday and 2-6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Walrus, The O’Pears, Mieke, Sam Cash and The Romantic Dogs, Jake Boyd of Hollerado (epic drum solo!), Jane’s Party, and Fresh Snow are just some of the artists that will be performing.
