This Sunday, the minds behind The Dionysus Experiment and Fake Geek Girls Like Us are joining forces for a Fifth Element extravaganza!
The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. at Dundas Video (831 Dundas St. W.) with some awesome artsy/geeky local vendors, including Morgan Sears-Williams Photography, Sophie Paas-Lang, Keight Maclean Fine Art and Illustration, and Fake Geek Girls Like Us. A screening of the 1997 sci-fi epic The Fifth Element will follow at 8 p.m. (with popcorn and other snacks available), proceeded by a discussion about whether or not it can be considered a feminist film. After that, it’s time to dance about it to a ’90s sci-fi inspo soundtrack.
Entry is PWYC ($5 suggested) and Fifth Element-inspired costumes are welcome.
