Party in the park! This Sunday, the David Suzuki Foundation, Laneway Project, Bells on Bloor, and Friends of Christie Pits Park are coming together to host Toronto’s first-ever Crawlfest in Christie Pits Park (Bloor St. W. at Christie) and the surrounding laneways and bike lanes.
Crawlfest is essentially four events in one, combining the fourth annual Homegrown Park Crawl, second annual Laneway Crawl, fifth annual Christie Pits Arts Crawl, and ninth Bells on Bloor bike parade.
The day kicks off at 10 a.m. with a pop-up art market featuring over 50 vendors, followed by a victory lap bike parade around the Bloor Street bike lane at 11. From 12 to 6 p.m., there will be food and drink vendors, art and entertainment in Willowvale Lane, and a musical parade led by the Lemon Bucket Orkestra. Vendors include Pizzeria Libretto, Banjara Indian Cuisine, Frank Restaurant, Coffee Public, The County General, Steam Whistle Brewing, and Southbrook Vineyards.
Admission is free and food tickets are $5 per portion (a limited number of food tickets will also be available online in advance at $25 for five tickets). Attendees are asked to bring their own plates and mugs.
