Artist Project returns to Exhibition Place’s Better Living Centre (195 Princes’ Blvd.) this week for its twelfth edition, showcasing over 300 established and emerging contemporary artists from Canada and abroad.

The four-day art fair gives visitors the opportunity to discover and purchase art directly from artists working in a variety of mediums–from acrylic and watercolour to collage, mixed media, photography, and more. Visitors can also meet artists and learn about their creative processes by taking part in one of Artist Project’s complimentary guided art tours.

Other highlights include the Art Battle, a live painting competition that challenges artists to create the best work they can in twenty minutes; the Art Chats discussion series led by experts from the art and design world; and the UNTAPPED Emerging Artists Competition, which awards twenty up-and-coming artists the chance to exhibit at a professional-level art fair for free.

Artist Project kicks off Thursday with an Opening Night party and runs through Sunday, February 24. Tickets are $16 for adults, $12.50 for youth, and free for children 12 and under.
