It hasn’t totally sunk in that Honest Ed’s has closed, but thanks to the Centre for Social Innovation and Toronto for Everyone, we’ll be able to get lost in the bargain store one last time before it vanishes for good.
Running Thursday through Sunday, An Honest Farewell will transform Honest Ed’s (581 Bloor St. W.) into a community hub, complete with interactive exhibitions, art installations, performances, workshops, film screenings, panel discussions, and more. Embark on a wacky journey of the past, present and future of Honest Ed’s and Toronto at aMAZEment; shop some of the city’s best food, flea, and farmer’s markets under one roof at Goodbyes & Good Buys; and dance the night away at Bargain Bash: The Official Farewell Party.
There will be both free and ticketed events happening all weekend long. Tickets are available online and through the box office at Bathurst and Bloor.
