It’s a little further afield, but if you’re up for a truly transformative experience, head to the Aga Khan Museum (77 Wynford Dr.) for Nuit Blanche this year.
They’ve introduced a whole host of exhibits and performances, from Sufi music and whirling in celebration of the 810th anniversary of Rumi’s birthday to the premiere of a monumental multimedia installation by acclaimed New York-based artist Shahzia Sikander. Performances take place in the Aga Khan Museum courtyard and auditorium, as well as in the communal spaces of two Mongolian yurts. Admission to the museum galleries are by contribution for the duration of Nuit Blanche.
Nuit Blanche at Aga Khan takes place from Saturday September 30th at 7 pm to Sunday October 1st at 6 am. Get the complete rundown here.
