Dear Diary,
Friends kept telling me "As soon as you stop looking, that’s when you’ll meet someone." I think they were right. Last time I wrote I was feeling like my search for Mr. Right was going nowhere. I was dating one cute nobody after another, and just wanted to finally meet a great guy. Then I started thinking that maybe I’d already met my Mr. Right… my last boyfriend. He’d been living in New York the last year and a half, but was still one of my closest friends. Lately, I’d been wondering if maybe last time we dated the timing was all wrong, and maybe we should try again. He was coming home this past weekend, so it was the perfect time to try and see. Things didn’t go exactly as planned.
Friday a guy messaged me on Plenty of Fish, and he was actually really cute. In fact, he looked strangely familiar. He thought the same of me. We added each other on FaceBook, but surprisingly don’t have any mutual friends.Saturday we add each other on MSN, and by Sunday, we’re talking on thephone. While all this is happening, I had been hanging out with the ex… but just wasn’t feeling it. I was, however, totally "feeling it" with this new guy! Sunday night we decide we better just meet, so we go for dinner the next day.
It was crazy how comfortable I felt with him right away. He’s very talkative (which I love), has pretty blue eyes, and (as I later discovered) is an amazing kisser. We went back to his place and made out for hours. I had no idea I could get so turned on from having the inside of my elbow licked. Seriously, I was soaked.
Tuesday night I went for dinner at Bar Italia with two girlfriends, and after a couple hours of girly sex talk, and was really craving some arm kissing. I went over to his place, and we fooled around for a while. The next day we met to see Rachel Getting Married at The Varsity, then got some coffee. I was disappointed that he had to go and work after, since I was hoping the third date would be ‘the sex date’. I’m seeing him again in a couple of days though.
I won’t give too many details about my new boy just yet, because I’m afraid it will just jinx it… but I will say that so far, he’s seeming like "Mr.Right".
