Get your hands dirty and celebrate all this fine, plant growin’ weather we’ve been having by paying a visit to the Montreal Botanical Garden’s 13th annual Great Gardening Weekend, on May 28th to 30th. There’s a wide-variety of attractions for green thumbs of all ages: Demonstration booths will offer valuable gardening tips, and a series of lectures will feature speakers from the gardening community. Look for me at the Food-Producing Horticulture Booth, where local wine, cider, apple, berry and vegetable producers will be offering tastes of their wares.
It’s also a great opportunity to stock up on new plants; new and rare varieties will be on offer from growers across Quebec, and the Garden itself will be selling new, rare and forgotten plants.
Admission: $14, students and seniors $10.50, children $7.00, free for children under 2.
May 28, 29 & 30 from 9am to 5pm.
