8pm. Sigur Rós @ Bell Centre, 1909 avenue des Canadiens-de-Montreal. Icelandic post-rock group Sigur Rós bring themselves, in all their odd-glory, to Montreal for the first time since like, ever (2008?). Montreal electronic musician Tim Hecker will open the show. 9pm. Montreal Strip Spelling Bee @ Theatre St-Catherine, 264 St-Catherine East. Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Spelling and striptease skills count, alike. 8:30pm. Boats + J.M Farr + Dagan Harding @ Le Cagibi, 5490 St-Laurent. Winnipeg’s own Boats take the stage at Cagibi, accompanied by rural Quebec-born, Toronto-based James Farr (from Honeyman and Brothers Farr fame) and Montreal’s Dagan Harding. $7. Advance tickets can be purchased here.
