Last week, author, legendary groupie and all-around rock goddess Pamela Des Barres visited Queen West’s Analogue Gallery to read from her 1987 memoir, I’m With The Band: Confessions of a Groupie. The New York Times bestseller highlights some of the colourful details from her past relationships with Mick Jagger, Jimmy Page, Keith Moon and Jim Morrison. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Garbed in a technicolour floor-length psychedelic hippie dress, Des Barres radiated flower power from the era she’s best known for. With several photographic prints documenting concerts and backstage moments from this radical period in rock history (including many pics of Pamela’s ‘guys’), Analogue Gallery was the perfect venue for an intimate reading from Des Barres.
Our imagination running wild, we hovered closely, hoping she’d whisper juicy details in our ear.
