Ever wonder what goes on at NYOOD during a Sunday afternoon, when a roaring brigade of Rolls Royces, Lamborghinis and Ferraris line the normally calm Queen Street West? Bienvenue chez Le Brunch – a culinary delight, feast for the eyes and daytime dance party of New York City proportions.

Inspired by the popular brunch series at Bistrot Bagatelle , a hot spot in the Meatpacking District of NYC – where it’s never too early for a glass of champagne – Le Brunch at NYOOD serves up a scrumptious menu and spectacular social scene set against an industrial yet glamorous space.

Forget the plate of greasy bacon and sloppy scrambled eggs you can find up the street. Here, you are served toasted brioche drizzled with truffle hollandaise, cinnamon French toast with vanilla crème fraiche, and fried-egg tomato tart with Lyonnaise potatoes. The food is as beautifully assembled as the waitresses breezing by in pretty silk blouses, or the patrons sipping spicy Caesars and bubbly mimosas.

As brunch winds down, so do the lights and DJs start spinning louder tunes. Fresh R&B, indie and electro sounds are mixed with classic favourites while guests fill the soaring room in a lively afternoon celebration. With an average of 50 bottles of Grey Goose vodka consumed throughout the brunch, the discreet first aid kits on each table – with Pepto-Bismol, Tums and Advil – were a cute and clever idea.

A distinctive culinary concept in Toronto, Le Brunch is a perfect way to celebrate a birthday or special occasion with friends or family during the day.

Le Brunch takes place on the third Sunday of every month. The next brunch is scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2009. Reservations are required.
