What makes a family?
On March 23, take part in a curatorial walk led by Genevieve Wallen and Eve Tagny, curators of Blood Ties, Xpace’s exhibition that examines contemporary family “units.” Following the walk, you are invited to break bread (potluck style) with the curators and two of the featured artists, Omar Badrin and Fallon Simard. Their art works “demonstrate how one’s familial identity is subjected to social and spatial negotiations underlining periods of longing, absence and change.” Since sharing a meal has the ability to bring people closer and facilitate intimate exchanges, what better way is there to conclude this exhibition?
In keeping with the theme of Blood Ties, you’re encouraged to bring family recipes, or a dish that is meaningful to you.
Space is limited. Event is free. Register here.
