If you don’t know already – landmark Main Street boutique Jonathan + Olivia is closing down their Vancouver store. Owner Jackie O’Brien is migrating to Toronto where the newer (and larger) of the two stores is situated. Rather then live a split life the newly married entrepreneur is staying put in the east. Fair enough, but fashionable hearts in Vancouver do ache a little bit, as J+O’s opening on Main Street seemed to be a catalyst for other boutiques and like-minded retailers popping up on the strip.

With sad news also come some happy news for your wardrobe and wallet alike; and by happy I mean shopping! Today is the beginning of the end. J+O’s THANK YOU VANCOUVER begins today and runs until the close of the shop on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
