After the holiday season, I can’t tell you how many times I hear people saying they need to starve themselves and go on diets to lose the weight they have put on during the holiday season. And if they haven’t gained weight, many complain of being tired and worn out or they spend time finding fault with their precious bodies. The holidays leave many of us with tired, overworked, slugglish bodies.
It is common in our society to overindulge during the holidays and then counteract the damage we have done to our bodies by enroling in strict diets, exercise regimes and excessive criticism. In the process we forget to thank our bodies, love them and offer them kindness for all that they allow us to experience.
Let’s start the new year off this week by blessing our bodies. Thanking and acknowledging our bodies for all the hard work they do day after day. For example, we can thank our eyes for allowing us to see, our arms for allowing us to hug, our digestive systems for cleaning out our bodies and our lungs for giving us our breath etc. etc. etc. etc……………..
