Our lives can too quickly become routine; get up, shlep to work, gym, Netflix, check phone, bed. When was the last time you wandered the city or found yourself at the helm of a brand new adventure?

The Stranger is an immersive and interactive theatrical experience in which the city becomes the stage and the audience becomes the protagonist. “The Stranger transforms the passive observer into an active agent, gives a voice to the audience and allows each audience member to be creative alongside the artist,” says Daniele Bartolini, Artistic Director, DopoLavoro Teatrale.

This one-to-one urban immersive experience is a ninety-minute journey that thrusts individual participants into a secret world. By following “strangers” into streets, alleyways and undisclosed locations, the downtown is transformed into an urban labyrinth and participants find themselves at the centre of an unfolding narrative that blurs the lines between reality and fiction. If you didn’t catch it the first time around, you’re in luck – it’s back with a brand new show, new locations, interactions, and a cast of up to twenty local and international artists. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped out of your routine life and right into a movie.

The production runs from September 20 to October. 9. The starting point is a secret location around Queen West area. Ticket holders will be notified by email of the exact meeting point twenty-four hours before their showtime. For tickets and info, visit here.
