If it was up to us, every day would be National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. Alas, like the best things in life (birthdays and Halloween), it only comes around once a year, on May 15th. 

It’s here at last! Today’s the day to consume as many chocolate chip cookies as we can with zero guilt! Aaaand, because bigger is always better (when it comes to chocolate, duh), Pizza Hut has stepped up their game with the Ultimate Hershey’s CHIPITS Cookie deal!

What is it? Freshly baked, oeey goeey 8 SLICE COOKIE realness which can be delivered WARM to your doorstep. IS THIS REAL LIFE?

We can’t wait to place an order for dinner, but in the meantime, we’re getting the party started in the kitchen. Chocolate chip cookies for lunch AND dinner? Now we’re talkin’!

How We Do: CHIPITS Chewy Milk Chocolate Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups lightly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 2/3 cups CHIPITS Milk Chocolate Chips

(We deviated from the recipe a tiny bit by adding 1 cup of CHIPITS SKOR Toffee Bits because they are delicious) When it comes to cookies, less is NEVER more. Remember that, kids.

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In large bowl, beat melted butter, brown sugar, eggs and hot water until smooth.
  3. In medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.  Stir into butter mixture until blended.
  4. Stir in milk chocolate chips and toffee bites. Drop from small tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

(Or make one GIANT cookie, like us!)

  1. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.  Let cool 1 minute; remove to wire rack.
