Considering his guiding motto is, “If heirs won’t fight over it, we won’t make it,” you can pretty much bet that Jonathan Adler gives an interesting lecture.

Presented by DXTALKS and KOHLER Canada, the iconic potter/designer/author will be speaking at Toronto’s Design Exchange (234 Bay St.) this Wednesday, Feb. 20. Adler will talk about his perspective on design, collaboration, and craftsmanship, as well as his personal design philosophy.

Tickets (which include admission to the Happy Show) are $20 for non-members and $10 for members. Space is limited, so buy your tickets in advance here. Doors open at 4:30pm, and the talk goes from 5:30pm-7pm.

Here’s hoping Adler discusses the inspiration behind some of his specific products, because we are dying over this adorable squirrel matches holder. We shall call him Scrat.
