Andrea from Calgary
SDTC: What do you do for work? For fun?
A: I’m a grad student hoping to graduate next year! I love to run, do yoga, and volunteer. I’m a big foodie, so I love trying new restaurants as well as cook/bake.
SDTC: If you won the grand prize (a $2,500 travel gift card!!!), where would you go and why?
A: I would love to take a trip with my partner. It’s been so long since we have had the time or money to do something fun for ourselves. I think we would love to go to Greece because it’s been on our bucket list for the past 5 years. So much to explore there, culture, history, foods, and just beauty everywhere.
SDTC: What’s your favourite way to spend a scorching summer day?
A: I love to be outside, in a park, probably reading a book and just relaxing, people-watching! We also love to BBQ and have friends over.
SDTC: One summer beauty essential you can’t live without is…
A: My daily moisturizer with SPF! Sunscreen or SPF is so crucial in summertime when the sun is always out!
SDTC: What trend are you most looking forward to rocking this summer?
A: I’m most looking forward to jumpsuits and lace. Jumpsuits are so comfy! I love them! And lace is just so romantic and pretty!
Jennifer Beckett from Waterloo
SDTC: What do you do for work? For fun?
J: I am a Developmental Service Worker supporting adults in a group home, and I love helping them live their lives to the fullest! One of my children has autism (he’s the happiest, most delightful soul) and he helped me discover my passion for working with individuals with special needs. For fun I enjoy spending time with my family, checking out the local family friendly sites and blogging about our adventures.
SDTC: If you won the grand prize (a $2,500 travel gift card!!!), where would you go and why?
J: When I told my 11 year old (the girl jumping off the dock in my picture) about this amazing opportunity, she didn’t hesitate in suggesting we finally make our dream of going to PEI a reality. When I was her age, I was living in the States and loving Anne of Green Gables, never knowing some day I would move to Canada. Two years ago, I got my daughter hooked and we often talk about going some day. It would be so amazing to visit the Anne sites!
SDTC: What’s your favourite way to spend a scorching summer day?
J: Kitchener has a beautiful man made lake/swimming pool called Kiwanis Park and I love going there with my family for a family picnic in the pines and cooling off in the pristine water. It feels like we’re miles away from the city but it only takes us a few minutes to get there.
SDTC: One summer beauty essential you can’t live without is…
J: Moisturizer! And I just love the Hawaiian Tropic Lime Colada After Sun Moisturizer.
SDTC: What trend are you most looking forward to rocking this summer?
J: I’m going to rock the “Lob” this Summer – I’m ready for a light and easy hairstyle.
Andie LeDonne from Toronto
SDTC: What do you do for work? For fun?
A: I’ve been tree planting in northern Ontario for the past 2 months for work and am now heading to the Okanagan to pick cherries. As for fun, I enjoy biking, camping, exploring the outdoors, playing with my pups and making things out of wood and leather.
SDTC: If you won the grand prize (a $2,500 travel gift card!!!), where would you go and why?
A: My girlfriend and I are currently living in our camper van and are hoping to travel down to Vegas along the west coast to make my cousins wedding. We have been working odd jobs to try and save up and winning the grand prize would secure this dream.
SDTC: What’s your favourite way to spend a scorching summer day?
A: By an icy-cold lake in the Rocky Mountains with my dogs, my girl and a canoe.
SDTC: One summer beauty essential you can’t live without is…
A: HT’s Sport Protection in the spray can. So easy to use and doesn’t wear off even on my sweatiest days.
SDTC: What trend are you most looking forward to rocking this summer?
A: Retro sunglasses. They match my 87′ camper van perfectly!
Natalie from Vancouver
SDTC: What do you do for work? For fun?
N: I’m currently working as a Clinical Educator for our local health authority, but I’m a social worker by trade. I also have a side job working for the company (Alittlebitofvancouver.wordpress.com!) that brings touring Broadway productions where I do some social media/blogging and sales for them at the show!
SDTC: If you won the grand prize (a $2,500 travel gift card!!!), where would you go and why?
N: My best friend and I have the same birthday in August and our tradition is to head up to Whistler, BC, and do a massive hike. We typically do The High Note Trail up Whistler Peak but we’ve been dreaming of doing Joffre Lakes to see that crystal blue glacier water. We stay in the Village and do a really nice dinner! And then, to congratulate us for getting another year older (and hiking!) we like to go to Scandinave Spa and enjoy the baths.
SDTC: What’s your favourite way to spend a scorching summer day?
N: I love heading to Second Beach in English Bay with a big blanket, large hat, sunglasses and a book! (Also SPF!)
SDTC: One summer beauty essential you can’t live without is…
N: My oversized sunglasses!! I can’t go anywhere without them!
SDTC: What trend are you most looking forward to rocking this summer?
N: I might try rocking the romper. I’ve seen a few out there and they look super cute!
