We all have our guilty pleasures, and the Drake Hotel is adding another to the list.
Next weekend, the Queen West culture hub will be hosting its annual guilty pleasures food and shopping event, just in time for Winterlicious. Unfortunately to all those foodies out there, tickets for the deliciously decadent brunch are all sold out, but the clothing sale is still open to the public and all those who wish to shop their faces off.
The sale is carefully curated by the Toronto Fashion Incubator, and promises to be chalk full of Canadian designed clothing and one of a kind, limited edition pieces and accessories. Shop for pieces like the ever-dapper coats by Hortense Salvatore, Valentine’s day-worthy lingerie by Fortnight Lingerie, as well as children’s clothing and accessories for all.
There will also be a silent auction, where items such as jewelry, Drake Hotel gift certificates, gift packages of just about everything: wedding planners, cosmetics, “women’s healthy living,” eco-friendly todo’s, spas, hosiery and hair supplies. Also, be sure to bid on a black sequined Lady Victoria hat, studded with Swarovski crystals, ruffles and rose embellishments, perfect for aristocratic events and high tea with the Queen. If that’s not a telling detail, I don’t know what is.
Saturday, February 6th. 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., one day only
