Once an ex-boyfriend not-so-eloquently said, “If you ain’t got a face, you ain’t got nothing.” It was his way of giving me a compliment (I think)…but in a sense the guy was right. Good skin, in my opinion, is the best accessory a woman could want.
As a self-diagnosed product junkie, I know that having the perfect complexion doesn’t always come easy, or cheaply.
Last night I sipped wine and nibbled on canapés with a slew of downtown Toronto women at the Spoke Club. It was great to see so many beautiful faces; younger, older, and all ethnicities under the sun. We were all there to hear about an exciting new product that has just hit the Canadian market – with a pretty big claim.
Indeed Labs presented us with NANOBLUR, a face primer that claims to make you “look up to 10 years younger in 40 seconds,” initially developed for celebrities and actors whose pores and imperfections were being picked up by high-def TV.
As lovely as the evening was, I was aching to get in front of the mirror and test their product…at 27 years old, I love getting asked for my ID.
This morning I woke up, walked the dog, drank my coffee, then came home and gawked in the mirror for a while… yep, pores, imperfections… and gulp… fine lines. Summer is tough on the skin, and makeup alone doesn’t always to the trick.
I applied NANOBLUR to my face, waited a minute or so, and saw a difference almost immediately. The product was smooth, fragrance free, and my face looked like a clean palette – illuminated, and ready to take on the day. I used a simple tinted moisturizer on top, a swipe of mascara, and stopped there.
Although you may not be seeing me on your HDTV anytime soon, this product really is a simple step if you want to go makeup-free and just look fresh, awake, and younger. At less than twenty bucks a tube, you can’t really go wrong!
Actually, buy two and stick one in your purse or overnight bag, because on those special ‘sleepovers’ its always nice to have a trick up your sleeve for still looking good in the morning…or at least looking as young as you said you were.
