Are your kids ready to find their fabulous selves on the dance floor?
On Saturday June 24th, head to the Don Mills TPL branch (888 Lawrence Avenue East) for an INCENDIARY Pride Vogue Dance Workshop. Started by Black and Latino drag queens, gender benders and aspiring fashionistas in New York City in the 1970s, voguing is a dance consisting of model-like poses along with arm, leg, and body movement.
This ninety-minute workshop is geared towards kids aged 7-12. Toronto’s premier ballroom group, House of Constantine, will create different ballroom looks with kids (read: dress-up!), along with ballroom names and personas, and will teach the basics of voguing, ballroom’s own dance form, and how to walk the runway.
