Getting active boosts your mood, sharpens your mind and deepens your social connections. This Friday, you can get a jump start on all of that. From 8:00 to 10:00 p.m., Stay Gold (100 Niagara St) will be hosting their first social fundraiser, Femme Fatale Friday, in partnership with Bootcamps for Change. Based on the belief that fitness programming strengthens mental health, physical health and resilience, these fundraisers will be held on the first Friday of every month throughout the year.
This month’s event will include a crossfit bootcamp-style workout for all experience levels (led by personal trainer and Stay Gold co-owner, Frances Young), as well as talks by neuroscience researcher and former national Team Canada volleyball athlete Julia Hamer, and 2012 Olympian Martin Reader. You’ll engage in great conversation, enjoy some delicious food & drink, and work up a sweat–all for a great cause! Fundraising from FFF will go solely to support Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth.
