In the autumn, a young woman’s thoughts turn to changing leaves, woolen goods, prospective Halloween costumes and POP Montreal‘s upcoming events. This year’s POP runs from Sept 29th to Oct 3rd, with activities that far exceed your average rock festival. The international music fest has branched out into 5 other categories (ArtPop, Film Pop, KidsPop, PucesPop & Symposium), but, as ever, the spotlight is still on the tunes. This year’s line-up doesn’t disappoint; over 300 bands are slated to play, including Deerhoof, Holger (pictured), Macy Gray and Priestess. Tip: For maximum enjoyment at minimum cost, invest in a POP Hopper pass. The POP Hopper is a pass that, with the purchase of a ticket for a main show on any day, will allow you to upgrade for $10 and grant you access to most other shows on that same day.
