The number of homeless youth in Toronto is hard to comprehend: 6,000 are homeless throughout the year, with an estimated 2,000 on any given night.
Eva’s Taste Matters is committed to providing care to homeless youth, including employment and training, harm reduction, family reconnection and transitional housing to create long-term solutions to help homeless youth live productive lives off the streets.
On Tuesday October 20 (6-9pm), Eva’s Taste Matters is hosting a one-of-a-kind evening at The Liberty Grand (25 British Columbia Road) to bring together Toronto’s finest in the food and beverage industry. Hosted by Lauren Toyota, the evening will feature an exciting live and silent auction. Youth from all three of Eva’s shelters will be in attendance, serving desserts they baked and created themselves.
Confirmed food and beverage booths include Barrel Select, Churchill Cellars, Creekside Estate Winery, Corby’s Distillery, Halpern Estate Wineries, hosts: Beau’s All Natural Brewing, Lake of Bay’s Brewing Co., Mill St. Breweries, Side Launch Brewing Co., and Steam Whistle Breweries.
Tasting hosts include Aria Restaurante, Bake Sale Cupcakes, Butcher by Nature, Holy Cannoli, Kennedy Catering, Modus, Nintuk, Noce, North 44, Olive Oil Boutique, Paint Box Bistro, Quality Cheese, The Chef Upstairs, Twist Catering and Zelcovia Cookies.
