What does the art of our contemporaries say about the state of feminism? Find out at The Feminist Art Conference. On January 21st @ OCADU (100 McCaul), join artists, academics and activists to consider feminist issues through art. With a theme of “Embodied Resistance,” this year’s event will feature artist and community panel discussions around systemic violence, self-realization, redefining the domestic sphere, pluralism and the arts and more. Plus, there will be a Sadie Buck Q&A, with Erika Iserhoff.
In addition to the conference, there will be a mix of related events taking place across the city, including a screening of Tiffany Hsiung’s acclaimed doc The Apology, an exhibition at OCADU and a theatre performance of The Magic Hour (see full list here).
