The 11th annual City of Craft returns to Toronto this weekend! This is by far one of our favourite craft markets to visit during the holidays (and yes, we freaking LOVE craft markets over here).
City of Craft boasts some of the city’s finest artists and makers, free workshops, and breath-taking installations. Throw in some tunes and snacks, and this is the hub of all things crafty and Christmas-y.
To kick things off, this Friday (December 8th, 6-10pm) is Opening Night where you can get your hands on the freshest selection, enjoy drinks and music, and enter the Win Your Wish Giveaway to walk away with your favourite piece made by your favourite maker!
Can’t make it Friday? That’s cool. But GET THERE EARLY on Saturday because the first 100 guests get a free, hand-printed, limited edition tote bag designed by Ness Lee (see image above), filled with incredible craft swag from the artists and community partners.
This year, the market is also offering SEVEN FREE DIY and craft workshops all weekend long in two locations. So if you’re behind on your Christmas shopping, consider gifting something that’s personalized and from the heart! Craft Labs will take place at the Theatre Centre and right across the street at Craft Ontario (1106 Queen West). Spaces are limited so register now. Full schedule and registration info here.
This is Toronto’s biggest indie craft fair. Come out and support the best of our homegrown talent at The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen Street West; entrance on Lisgar St.) December 8-10. Saturday & Sunday hours: 11am-6pm. Admission $3.
