Danielle and Jodie Snyder are the talented designers behind NYC based powerhouse jewellery and accessory line, Dannijo. It would be fair to say that these sisters are the coolest “it designers” of the moment. Florence Welch, Drew Barrymore, Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung, and Leanna Medrine of Manrepeller are just some of their loyal fans and Taylor Swift recently rocked the Dannijo Caprina necklace in a Cover Girl ad. I mean, can you get a better, more eclectic, roster of celebrities wearing your stuff? Yeah, actually, you can! In fact, it almost seems like every celebrity and model whose style we love has a Dannijo piece in their wardrobe. WTF? How did these young sisters manage ALL that? Their stuff is fucking awesome and they’re smart business women; that’s how.

This Saturday, you can meet Dani and Jodie at a special holiday trunk show at Holt Renfrew. Beyond being a great way to check out their collection, this is a terrific opportunity for any aspiring designers to say hi and sneak in a couple questions.

The sisters grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and after years of creating beautiful things, they moved to Manhattan and founded Dannijo in 2008. Kind of like the Olsen twins, each sister brings a very different aesthetic to the label: Danielle is a little more rock n’ roll edgy while Jodie’s style is more classic. This explains the diversity of fandom that includes everyone from Nicki Minaj to Sophia Bush; I don’t think you could find more diverse personalities who similarly fit the brand if you tried. Seriously. Oh wait, Katie Couric also sports their stuff.

After touring their website, you’ll no doubt find something you really, really want. But we love their blog too, which incorporates everything from studio playlists to street style inspiration.

Basically, these two rule. I had the opportunity to meet them last night at an intimate dinner put on by Holt Renfrew at Soho House and can tell you that they are also totally down to earth girls who are approachable, seemingly easy going and genuine. The insane success has not gone to their head. We’d love to pick their brain just like we’d enjoy inviting them to jump in a car for a spontaneous road trip to Montreal. Or whatever. Suffice to say, they’re super cool chicks who seem to have the most influential leaders in the fashion world spinning in the palm of their hands.
