You’ve probably been hearing a ton of buzz about A Star Is Born, the highly anticipated directorial debut of Bradley Cooper featured at this year’s TIFF. It looks SO GOOD.

Starring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, A Star Is Born introduces Jackson Maine (Cooper), a country music star on the brink of decline, who discovers a talented unknown named Ally (Gaga). As the two begin a passionate love affair, Jackson coaxes Ally into the spotlight, catapulting her to stardom. But as Ally’s career quickly eclipses his own, Jack finds it increasingly hard to handle his fading glory.

An upcoming fundraiser by Toronto-based charity Dignitas International will feature an advance screening of the film at Scotiabank Theatre (259 Richmond Street) on Wednesday, October 3.

Dignitas International is working hard to improve access to quality healthcare in Africa and Indigenous communities across Canada. Funds raised at this event will support Dignitas International’s medical and research programs, which help marginalized people and underserved communities gain access to life-saving health care.
