Winter has finally reared its snowy head, which means Mont Royal will be teeming with happy snowshoers, skaters and cross-country skiers. The chilly months are eminently more bearable with a little outdoor fun, so since you can’t beat the weather – we’re slated to get 17 centimetres of the white stuff before the week is through – you might as well join in on the activities. If you are sans skis, fear not: Mont Royal’s Les amis de la montagne’s rental counter provides all the outdoor equipment needed to spend unforgettable moments on the mountain.
In addition to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skating, they offer rentals for inner tubing, Nordic kicksledding, pedal-boating and bird-watching. If quiet walks in the woods are more your speed, Les amis de la montagne also offers guided walks for groups: call 514 843-8240, ext. 235 to reserve.
Les amis de la montagne’s equipment rental counter: Beaver Lake Pavilion, 2000 Remembrance Road.
