The Red Light (1185 Dundas St. W.) may be small, but it most definitely knows how to party. (It’s not the size that counts, it’s how you use it, right?) Hence why Friday and Saturday nights here usually end up with chairs shoved into corners and people dancing atop the tables. I’ve had some of my best nights out here and if you’re a fan of bourbon, beer, and hip-hop, you probably will, too.
This Saturday will feature all of these things plus DJs Serious and Numeric (the guys behind Hip-Hop Karaoke and Never Forgive Action) in the back room playing choice cuts all night long to make you break a sweat. Expect to hear golden era super jams from the likes of A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Black Moon, Mobb Deep, The Notorious B.I.G., MC Lyte, Cypress Hill, Gang Starr, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and many more.
Party starts at 10pm. No cover.
