I know we’re barely into 2013 but let’s take a minute to reflect on a decade from the not-so-distant past: 2000-2009, a.k.a. the noughties. Yes, there was some bad but there was also SO MUCH GOOD. Most notable, of course, being the music. So many great bands and artists emerged from this decade and this Friday, they* want you to join them at Margret (2952 Dundas St. W.) to reminisce, dance, and embrace your inner scenester. No cover, doors at 10 pm.
*No, the bands won’t actually be there but DJs Candy-O and Snatch will be, and they promise to play alllll the hits from bands like The Hives, The Strokes, Interpol, Franz Ferdinand, The White Stripes, Phoenix, The Kooks, Amy Winehouse, The Go! Team, The Vines, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and more.
For an O.C.-esque tribute to the decade, check out our “What’s Up, Indie Kid?” playlist.
