Back in January, a lil’ party called Birthday Sex premiered at Parts & Labour’s The Shop (1566 Queen St. W.) and it was by far one of the sweatiest, most fun nights out I’ve had. I would probably never use “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “beautiful” in the same sentence but when Snoop’s anthem played, everyone dropped simutaneosly and it was exactly that. Nothing brings people together quite like late 90’s/early 00’s hip-hop and R&B.
This Friday night, the Diego Bros are doing it all over again (and doin’ it, doin’ it, doin’ it well) and I’ve got a hunch that things are going to get even sweatier this time around with it basically being summer and all. If you’re a May baby, you’re encouraged post your requests on the Facebook page. Please note that Birthday Sex doesn’t happen every month but when it does, you should go.
(For the ultimate pre-party playlist, throw on Drop It Right Thurr.)
Doors at 10 pm. Free before 11 pm, $5 after.
