At Shedoesthecity, we have the utmost appreciation for one-of-a-kind artisanal crafts, especially when they’re created for a good cause. So when we heard about the launch of an artisan microbrand that features Haiti’s most talented crafters and designers, we got really excited!
A joint effort between the BRANDAID Haiti Project, the Government of Canada and Hudson’s Bay, this unique collaboration will be available in Toronto on November 21st and represents five different communities within Haiti.
The collection includes over 50 handmade products, ranging from home décor items to textiles and artifacts. The items will be highlighted through pop-ups inside the Bay, and will be in each store for 10 days.
All proceeds from the sale go directly to BRANDAID Project in Haiti to create sustained economic opportunity for artisan communities and small producers while delivering cultural and design authenticity and intellectual property protection.
