Brain Candy, the only feature film by legendary sketch troupe Kids in the Hall, is turning twenty(!)

To celebrate this auspicious occasion, Brain Candy will be screened at the Royal (608 College St) on Thursday October 13th. It will be introduced by John Semley, author of the new Kids in the Hall book, This Is A Book About the Kids in the Hall. Semley will speak to Brain Candy‘s troubled production history, the effect it had on the troupe’s dissolution, and its cult reputation as perhaps the greatest statement of the Kids’ alternative, grunge-comedy sensibility. The screening will be preceded by a short program of Kids in the Hall sketches, and followed by a book signing.
