This Saturday, the Queen West Block—from Dovercourt to Dufferin—is coming together to show support for #BlackLivesMatter, with a goal of raising $10,000 for Black Legal Action Centre

How do you participate?

Wear a mask, bring a $20 cash donation to, and head to 6IX Cycle to pick up your “Passport to Queen West” bracelet. This bracelet will get you discounts at all of the neighbouring businesses participating in BLOCK 4 BLAC.

Beyond raising funds and helping small businesses, streets will come alive with music, food, and art; swing your hips to Raptor’s DJ @4Korners and @_callmepoji, satiate your palette with delicious treats from @KingCatering, and be wowed by the work of @Yung_Yemi . Enjoy it all….from a six-foot distance.

Organized by Curator Ashley McKenzie Barnes, who curated the phenomenal 25th anniversary of Kuumba Festival this past February, Julie Harrish owner of 6IX Cycle and Art Consultant Deanne Moser, with the hope of doing something actionable and positive to support BLAC and local area businesses as they open.

Swing by, stay six feet apart, connect with the Queen West community, and show your support for #BlackLivesMatter.
