History buffs and pet lovers, we’ve got your number.
This week, Toronto Humane Society is teaming up with the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities for Best Friends Forever: Dogs and Cats in Ancient Egypt. Join in for a fun evening of conversation and cocktails to learn about Ancient Egyptians and their love of pets! Internationally renowned ROM Egyptologist Gayle Gibson (featured in Museum Secrets, Nova: The Mummy Who Would be King, Tutankhamen, The Truth Uncovered) will be sharing the stories of these glorious creatures; from the pet tabbies of the hieroglyphs to the avatars of the gods!
This is a 19+ event and a portion of the bar proceeds will be donated to the Toronto Humane Society. BFF: Dogs and Cats in Ancient Egypt takes place on 11 River St. on Saturday, July 20, starting at 6 p.m. Register here.
