The 1950s-inspired improv troupe Fifty Shades of 50 will be performing in the 2015 Big City Improv Festival, the largest improv showcase in Canada that features some of the best performers across North America.
Fifty Shades of 50 includes Second City graduates Nelu Handa, Heather Sanderson, Martha Stortz, and Brie Watson who are set to perform on Tuesday, October 20th at 7:00 p.m. at Comedy Bar in Toronto in this festival headlined by comedy legend Colin Mochrie and stars from NBC’s 30 Rock.
Fifty Shades of 50 were selected to perform in the all-female SheDot comedy festival in April 2014 and were semi-finalists in Toronto’s Big City Improv Festival TKO Tournament one year ago. Now they’re back to take the BCIF on a blast from the past!
Check out these fabulous women as they take the stage, performing a unique show that uses improvisational comedy to explore issues affecting women in the 1950s and today.
