It’s the time of the year when the leaves are starting to turn colour and the weather starts to get colder. For me, this is the time when I flush all the bubbly summer songs out of my iPhone, and start listening to music which is more fitting for the season. A lot of these artists are my all time faves, but some of them I only listen to during the fall. Here is a compilation of twenty of my favourite songs to listen to during this time of year.
- The Way I Am – Ingrid Michaelson
- Follow Me – Uncle Kracker
- Marry Me – Train
- Naive – The Kooks
- Mr. Brightside – The Killers
- Stay With Me – You Me At Six
- Shake It Out – Florence and the Machine
- Home – Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes
- The A Team – Ed Sheeran
- A Drop in the Ocean – Ron Pope
- Waiting on the World to Change – John Mayer
- Skinny Love – Bon Iver
- Never Say Never – The Fray
- Sunday Morning – Maroon 5
- Wonderwall – Oasis
- You and Me – Lifehouse
- Scar Tissue – Red Hot Chili Peppers
- Sleeping Sickness – City and Color
- Silver Lining – Rilo Kiley
- Giving Up The Gun – Vampire Weekend
This playlist is a little all over the place, but it makes me a little less sad that the last wisps of summer have evaporated and a little more excited for the season. There’s no cure for the autumn blues like fresh air and mellow tunes. Enjoy everyone!
