If you want to scream into a pillow right now, you’re not alone. Like you, we’re infuriated, sad and confused by today’s verdict, and its potential impact on assault survivors moving forward.

On March 24th (TONIGHT), a coalition of organizations and supporters are hosting a rally and march in solidarity with the women who bravely testified and the countless others who have lived through sexual violence in our communities.

“Two years ago, the public was asking why don’t women go to police and press charges? This trial answers that question,” says Kristyn Wong-Tam, city councillor. “The legal system that’s in place to deal with sexual assault and the trauma that comes with it, is deeply flawed and just about impossible to navigate. It’s time for reform.”
