Beginning January 21 is Heart On, a new screening series that celebrates the work of emerging female filmmakers and artists in an engaging, supportive and playful way.

The talented ladies behind Heart On have one mission for these screening: to band together a community of female filmmakers, film lovers and artists in a lively space as we fan girl out to some incredible new work.

Their first event will take place on January 21st at Artscape Youngplace at 7:30, where they will be screening a documentary called Welcome to F.L. by Genevieve Dulude DeCelles, a filmmaker from Montreal. Welcome to F.L. was even featured in TIFF 2015. They will also be showcasing the work of five awesome Toronto artists in a pop-up gallery right next door to the screening room. This awesome lineup of artists includes Emily Dynes, Anna Collins, Meghan Farbridge, Adria Mirabelli and Alex Beaton.

Bonus: They’ll also be serving up some snazzy finger foods, beverages and sweet treats!
