The Toronto Queer Zine Fair is an alternative zine fair that focuses on the radical and political history/philosophy of zines and seeks to create space for traditionally marginalized voices in the zine community. While TQZR accepts applications from all self-identified queer/trans folks, it prioritizes the voices of trans women, trans women of colour, queer people of colour, indigenous/two-spirited folks, and non-binary folks.

This year’s fair takes place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Trinity-St Paul’s United Church (427 Bloor St. W.) and will bring together over 50 zines, including Fight Boredom Distro, Under the Rug Club, Art Activist Nia, B&D Press, Trans*scribe Magazine, Death Cookie Soup Press, and many more.

Entry is pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $5, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. There will also be snacks, coffee, tea, and lunch served (vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options available).
