It’s that time of year again: the carnival is in town, kiddies! The Ex (or The CNE, Canadian National Exhibition) runs until September 1st, and can be found in that usually-vacant space of concrete between King Street West, Dufferin Street, Lake Ontario and Bathurst Street. It’s a great place to squeal with joy over baby piglets gnawing on each other’s ears, eat strange combinations of fried food in the aptly named Food Building, win a giant plush doughnut, and ride rides until you just can’t take it anymore. And don’t forget the Tiny Toms doughnuts.
A special musical guest this year is…wait for it…HANSON! They will be performing on Thursday, August 28, from 7:30 – 9:30pm. Admission is only $6 after 5pm during the week, so get there just in time for Mmmbop in the flesh.
