Feeling zen and have money to spend? Cash poor but just need to leave the house right now before you strangle all your roommates with the laundry they hung out to dry over a WEEK ago and haven’t put away yet? Just love to do crafts? Just love The Craft and kind of confused but feeling enthusiastic?
We get it, everyone’s needs are different. Here are two cute Wednesday night activities depending on what you’re looking for:
Washi Wednesdays at The Japanese Paper Place
Free origami workshops, y’all! Drop in any time between 1 and 7pm to learn origami 101 for FREE. Bring along some markers or pens and have a craft-ernoon with a few pals, or go solo in the evening and meet new people while you fold away the day’s stresses.
Terrarium Building Workshop at Bampot Bohemian House of Tea and Board Games
Have you SEEN Bampot? This little Harbord hut is so cute and has a ton of tea selections to go with delicious vegetarian eats, hookah if you’re feelin’ it, and cool crafts and board games. Plus this Wednesday they’re running a cute terrarium building workshop from 7 to 9:30pm. Choose from building a succulent garden ($45) or a terrarium in an apothecary jar ($55). This is pretty affordable for a terrarium, plus you get to make it yourself and learn how to make FUTURE terrariums! Those jars you found at a yard sale are getting USED, son. ($10 deposit to book a place—call ahead—or try your luck at the door.)
So what are you waiting for? Hump Day is yours for the taking.
