Have you heard about the Really Really Free Market? It’s exactly what it sounds like, and it’s this Saturday, April 5th.
See something you need? Something you like? Take it! No swapping, no haggling, no money whatsoever. The free market describes themselves as a community that “provides a collectively organized, non-monetary alternative to the current mainstream economic system,” and they sure do. Wares on offer range from furniture to appliances to this woven Princess Diana thing. People can also “sell” services like free yoga classes, haircuts, massages, WHATEVER. Sounds great, right?? Right. This weekend marks their 22nd consecutive monthly market, and we’re headed down to check it out.
Freegans and extreme bargain hunters—or just people who need a new coffee table, w/e—should head to Campbell Park (on Campbell Ave, a quick walk from Lansdowne Station) on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
