The cold weather is upon us, which means we’re looking for some fun things to do during these chilly days. That’s why the idea of donning our cutest ballet flats and headbands (à la Blair Waldorf circa Gossip Girl Season One) and enjoying an afternoon of high tea is rather appealing to us.
Thanks to the ladies who started The Gratitude Tea, we can now dress in our Sunday best and take advantage of the best this season has to offer. Now in its fifth year, The Gratitude Tea is a high tea fundraising event where guests are invited to bring someone special (mom, dad, sibling, friend, co-worker, great aunt, etc.), to say thanks and enjoy a festive Sunday afternoon together.
Taking place on Sunday December 8th at The Badminton and Racquet Club (25 St. Clair Avenue West), the tea kicks off at 12:30pm for an afternoon of cucumber sandwiches, canapés, delicious treats and, of course, tea! After finding your seat and perusing the silent auction, guests have the opportunity to stand up and say a few words about the person they brought and why they’re so important. It’s more heartwarming than a cup of Earl Grey in December. (Though ol’ Lady Grey ain’t bad either.)
If you’d like to show thanks to that special person in your life, or just have a lovely afternoon, get your tickets at www.gratitudetea.com.
