Let me start this off with a little note to a guy at the LINE Knitwear show who stood up to take a photo every time a new look came out from backstage: there are SEATS for a reason and you should really sit in one. Please and thank you.
Moving on. Despite the anger bubbling in my heart from said picture man, the Fall 2013 LINE Knitwear collection spoke to my inner lazy girl. Loungey oversized knits paired with full leather skirts were the perfect combination of casual and pulled together. Being able to feel like I’m lounging in public is my main motive when purchasing clothing (I’m not kidding), and therefore this collection made me feel like I could have it all.
The metallic trend stayed strong on the runway in the form of turtlenecks (which the models’ hair were tucked into like when you were in elementary school) and peeking out from underneath laser-cut tops. The tuck on the sweaters and tops was essential for the success of the collection, giving each look an effortless feeling and laidback vibe.
Come fall I have an inkling that we will all be tucking our lounging sweaters into skirts. Mark my words.
