6 pm “Period” Opening Reception @ The Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W. “Works in this exhibition, created by a cast of all female artists, showcases the end of one cycle of time and the beginning of another in their artistic endeavors; both as a group and as individuals. To underline the completion of a period in their lives, the artists have organized this show in order to commemorate their time together. The culmination of their work during a one night closing reception at the Gladstone Hotel will serve as the period, the final mark, in their current passage of time.” Exhibiton runs until March 18th (closing reception begins at 6:00 pm and features performances and food).

9:30 pm Stain @ Velvet Underground, 510 Queen St. W. This month, Stain hosts a Canadian Music Week preview with a nod to local punk rock bands. Performances by Sluts on 45, Freedom 85, and Sid’s Kids with cameo appearances by Toronto punks from the 70’s and 80’s including Zro4, The Existers, The Dents, Arson, and more.
